Sheri Brake B.Comm, MIR, CPHR

Principal

 

Sheri is an HR Professional, Facilitator, Workplace Investigator, and Policy Expert. She established AccessHR Inc. with the goal of focusing on high quality, ethical and creative human resources services.

 

Sheri has more than 20 years of HR experience, working with public, private and not-for-profit

organizations.  She has developed expertise in workplace investigations, employment legislation and policy, talent management, organization design, strategic planning, and leader development.

 

She is motivated by complex data analysis and policy work and feels most at home with her sleeves rolled up in a creative and fast-paced project.

 

As a lifelong learner, she holds a B.Comm from Dalhousie University,  a Master’s in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University and certificates in Career Coaching, Project Management, Workplace Trust, Workplace Restoration, Professional Coaching and ITIL. She is also a Certified Workplace Investigator and is a designated HR Professional (CPHR).

 

Sheri is the President of the Ugandan Girls Scholarship Foundation, a registered charity that provides scholarships to girls who would otherwise be unable to attend school.

Heather Beck

Consultant

 

Heather is a senior Human Resources leader, with over 25 years people leadership experience. She has lead organizations, in both Canada and the USA, through the full scope of HR responsibilities in growth and contraction cycles, including acquisitions, divestitures, and integrations. Her areas of specialty include Talent Engagement, Leadership Development, Learning & Development, Performance Management, and Change Management.  She has a passion for clear communication, organizational alignment from leadership through front line employees, and creating an environment where employees are able to thrive in their careers 

 

In addition to being an active CPHR member, Heather is an ICF Certified PCC level coach and has completed ORSC Team Coaching Fundamentals.  She holds a B.A. from The King’s University College, an HR Management Certificate from U of C, and a Strategic Management Certificate from U of C.  Heather volunteers as the President of Spin Sisters Mountain Bike Club, a Calgary based women’s only cycling club.

Carey is a Senior Consultant with over 25 years of experience including expertise in workforce planning, program and policy design, system evaluation and documentation.

 

For the past 10 years Carey has consulted on projects with multiple organizations to develop and deliver common sense people solutions. His work has included working with executive leaders to harmonize, integrate and communicate programs and policies across companies in Canada and the US. Project focus has included both HR projects and leadership responsibilities incorporating his process, project, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Carey has a reputation for listening effectively, seeking input from stakeholders, and quickly adapting to changing business requirements.  Carey is a natural problem solver who thrives in an environment where collaborative decision making is valued.  

Angie Gareau

Angie is a senior human resource professional with experience in the energy, construction, staffing and non-profit sectors. Angie started her career in executive administration, however had a passion for human resources. She pursued further education in human resources to

Roland Osske

Roland is a senior Human Resources professional with 25+ years of experience as an HR generalist and leader who can collaborate with individuals at all levels in an organization to facilitate the creation and maintenance of inspiring and engaging workplaces. His work has included researching and creating recommendations for a total compensation program; developing and implementing employee performance development programs; revising and consolidating policy and facilitating the change management.

 

Roland has also devoted significant time and energy to volunteer opportunities in the not-for-profit sector, first as a Board member and then as Board Chair, for both the Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta (CPAA) as well as Immigrant Services Calgary (ISC). Nini Obiaga

Nini Obiaga BSc, CPHR brings close to two decades of professional HR leadership experience in a variety of sectors including non-profit, hospitality, healthcare and professional services organizations. Her work in the corporate world fueled her passion to work with small and medium sized organizations to help build their HR systems and programs from the ground up. Her approach has always been about using an entrepreneurial approach to the HR function to make it more efficient, and cost-effective while keeping employees engaged.

 

Nini has extensive experience in policy and employee handbook development, workplace investigations, strategy, talent management, employee relations, and training & development. Bonnie Tamura

Steve is a Career Coach and Career Consultant with extensive experience working with hundreds of career transition clients.  Recognized as an authentic and non-judgmental career coach who listens intently and asks questions that require thought, honesty and self-reflection, Steve has also been described as “kind, caring, and authentic”.  He brings a calm demeanor and a dedication to clients.

 

In addition to individual career transition coaching, Steve has become a trusted confidante and advisor to leaders and human resources professionals as they consider ways to exit and support employees with respect and dignity.

 

Steve is most passionate about assisting people with transitioning from doubt and uncertainty to confidence and clarity. Sheryl Ann Carscadden

Sheryl-Ann is of Cree heritage and a proud member of The Metis Nation of Alberta.  She is actively involved in and provides consulting services in the Diversity space. Sheryl-Ann is currently a Board member for The Indigenous Gathering Place in Calgary and co-developed The Indigenous Project Management Program while on Faculty at Banff Centre.

Bruce Randall
