Sheri Brake B.Comm, MIR, CPHR



Sheri is an HR Professional, Facilitator, Workplace Investigator, and Policy Expert. She established AccessHR Inc. with the goal of focusing on high quality, ethical and creative human resources services.


Sheri has more than 20 years of HR experience, working with public, private and not-for-profit

organizations.  She has developed expertise in workplace investigations, employment legislation and policy, talent management, organization design, strategic planning, and leader development.


She is motivated by complex data analysis and policy work and feels most at home with her sleeves rolled up in a creative and fast-paced project.


As a lifelong learner, she holds a B.Comm from Dalhousie University,  a Master’s in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University and certificates in Career Coaching, Project Management, Workplace Trust, Workplace Restoration, Professional Coaching and ITIL. She is also a Certified Workplace Investigator and is a designated HR Professional (CPHR).


Sheri is the President of the Ugandan Girls Scholarship Foundation, a registered charity that provides scholarships to girls who would otherwise be unable to attend school.

Carey Con



Carey is a Senior Consultant with over 25 years of experience including expertise in workforce planning, program and policy design, system evaluation and documentation.


For the past 10 years Carey has consulted on projects with multiple organizations to develop and deliver common sense people solutions. His work has included working with executive leaders to harmonize, integrate and communicate programs and policies across companies in Canada and the US. Project focus has included both HR projects and leadership responsibilities incorporating his process, project, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. 


Carey has a reputation for listening effectively, seeking input from stakeholders, and quickly adapting to changing business requirements.  Carey is a natural problem solver who thrives in an environment where collaborative decision making is valued.  

Zoe Horvath



Zoe is a strategic and innovative HR Professional who excels at building lasting relationships rooted in trust and integrity.  She is recognized as a highly effective solutions-focused leader, mentor and coach who guides and mobilizes others towards realizing business visions and achieving innovative solutions.  She is a natural change agent and mediator who knows how to balance the goals of the business with the needs of employees and stakeholders.

With over 20 years of HR experience in the private and not-for-profit sectors, Zoe has developed expertise in employee relations and Canadian legislation, policy review and development, strategic planning, workplace investigations, and talent management.

Zoe is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).  She is passionate about growing and supporting younger professionals as they develop in their careers.

Ingrid Kihl



Ingrid is a Human Development Coach – co-creating development for people in all stages of career and life.  A certified Integral Master Coach™ and a Gallup - certified Global Strengths Coach.

Foundationally a Human Resources Manager - Ingrid has supported all stages of the talent life cycle, coaching Leaders to excellence in all stages. 


Ingrid has a 14-year body of work in Career Transition coaching more than 1000 people.  Known to be compassionate, easy to speak with and a focused catalyst for the transition journey. In the last 8 years, Ingrid has studied and certified in Retirement Coaching – assisting the rapidly aging demographic and the organization to navigate this dramatic change in both career strategy and work force planning.


Ingrid completed studies in a BSc. Human Kinetics, is EQi2.0 and Leadership Agility certified and a 15 year member of ICF.  

Trika MacDonald



Trika's vast knowledge stems from 20+ years of HR and labour leadership and project management experience include post-secondary institutions, public and private sector organizations at a local, regional, national, and international level.


As an organizational leader she specializes in Employee and Labour Relations, Policy and Process including Collective Bargaining, HR Consulting, Workforce Planning and Environmental Health and Safety.   In addition to leading large teams of HR professionals, she has developed and delivered leadership training in both HR and EHS and led large HR transformational projects.


Trika holds an MBA in Human Resource Management augmented by certification in Labour Relations, Diversity and Inclusion, Workforce Planning and EHS. 

Tracey Martin 



Tracey is a strategic business professional with 20+ years of diverse experience in organizational management, human resources, and professional development.   Tracey incorporates her collaborative teaching approach into her client work.


Tracey is particularly skilled in program and policy development and implementation creating useful and applicable tools. 


Tracey holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, focusing on Human Resources, Marketing and Legal Studies. A graduate of the Coaches Training Institute, Tracey is both a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and Professional Certified Coach (PCC). 

Pauline Melnyk



Pauline is a recognized leader, Change Management Practitioner, Accredited Trainer and Coach; she expands the options available for Managers and their teams in various types of industry, not-for-profit agencies, adult education and governmental departments.


25+ years experience as a business and human resource professional, Pauline works to impact the individuals on teams in a positive way directly, willingly collaborating and sharing knowledge in change management, creative problem solving, leadership consulting, group coaching, issues management and stakeholder facilitation.


As Certified Trauma Informed, Positive Psychology and Enhanced Narrative Leadership Coach, Pauline Melnyk provides a thought-provoking, creative approach with positive psychology interventions to the topic of Change.

Roland Osske



Roland is a senior Human Resources professional with 25+ years of experience as an HR generalist and leader who can collaborate with individuals at all levels in an organization to facilitate the creation and maintenance of inspiring and engaging workplaces. His work has included researching and creating recommendations for a total compensation program; developing and implementing employee performance development programs; revising and consolidating policy and facilitating the change management.


Roland has also devoted significant time and energy to volunteer opportunities in the not-for-profit sector, first as a Board member and then as Board Chair, for both the Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta (CPAA) as well as Immigrant Services Calgary (ISC). Roland holds a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as an MBA from the University of Windsor. 

Peggy Smigarowski 



An accomplished HR professional, Peggy has expertise in enhancing corporate culture by partnering with leadership, management, and employees. Through her work, Peggy is committed to providing excellent customer experiences.


Peggy is keenly interested in her own personal and professional development and thrives on sharing her learnings with others.


She is Master Certified in TypeCoach, MBTI Step 1 & 11, Dare To Lead Trained, is a Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) and holds her Leadership Certificate from Disney Institute. 

Catherine Watson



Catherine leverages her skills and experience to support all functional areas of HR. She has worked in non-profit, healthcare, engineering, oil & gas, and manufacturing industries. She is skilled in analysis, strategic planning, talent management, program facilitation, policy review and development, compensation, change management, and intercultural and labour relations.


Catherine is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Humanities from the University of Calgary and a certificate in Human Resource Management from Mt. Royal University. She also has additional certifications in Talent Management (CTMP) and Prosci Change Management. An avid learner, she is currently completing a master’s thesis at the University of Calgary in Communication and Media Studies.


Catherine is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation, and a Certified Leadership Coach (CLC).  Additionally, she holds certifications in multiple assessment tools including Clifton's Strengths and  Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) 

Steve Cutler  BA



Steve is a Career Coach and Career Consultant with extensive experience working with hundreds of career transition clients.  Recognized as an authentic and non-judgmental career coach who listens intently and asks questions that require thought, honesty and self-reflection, Steve has also been described as “kind, caring, and authentic”.  He brings a calm demeanor and a dedication to clients.


In addition to individual career transition coaching, Steve has become a trusted confidante and advisor to leaders and human resources professionals as they consider ways to exit and support employees with respect and dignity.


Steve is most passionate about assisting people with transitioning from doubt and uncertainty to confidence and clarity. His ability to support and collaborate with people while they assess their current situation and deliberate on options moving forward, with both their personal lives and careers, is an asset to everyone he meets.


In addition to a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from York University, Steve’s background includes a foundational career in operations and coaching in both the business and sports worlds.

Deb Chalmers-Bushe



As an HR Leader and Change Management professional, Deb enjoys helping individuals and organizations identify, develop and implement solutions aligned to strategic goals.  


An independent consultant since 2009, Deb has worked with multiple clients across industry and not for profit in supporting both complex and ad hoc HR and change related projects.     


Deb holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Calgary, a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University and a Human Resources Management Certificate from the University of Calgary.  


As an active volunteer throughout her career, Deb enjoys mentoring other HR professionals including through local non-profit programs that support the successful integration of newcomers to Canada.  

Anna Consoli


Anna has a passion for helping people make a meaningful change in their career.

After many years in academia and health research dealing with complexity and vulnerability, Anna brings empathy, compassion and kindness into her coaching practice. She takes an honest and insightful approach to help her clients feel safe, inspired and empowered by their own resources, abilities, and talents.


Anna’s coaching involves partnering with her clients in their journey from uncertainty to clarity. Her goal is to help them enhance self-awareness, explore skills, identify strengths and provide them with a clear understanding of the unique value they can bring into a new job or role.


Anna holds two bachelor’s degrees in Education and Psychology and a Master of Science in Public Health. Anna is a certified coach with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.  

Joan Ermelbauer



Joan is a Coach, Facilitator and Organizational Change Management (OCM) specialist. She has spent her career supporting leaders in creating sustainable change driven by business transformations and technology in large organizations, small businesses and non-profits.


In addition to being a Positive Intelligence Coach (CPQC), an Integral Master Coach™, and ICF-certified (ACC), Joan holds a PMP® designation. As well, Joan is Procsi certified and a facilitator of Immunity to Change (Harvard, Cambridge). Joan received an undergraduate degree (humanities) from Queen’s and a Master of Library and Information Science (MILS) from Western University.


An active volunteer, Joan coaches leaders in non-profits through United Way, and is a mentor for Women in Leadership (WIL).

Janice MacPherson



Janice  is a Coach, Leader and HR Professional. She has spent her career working in small and medium-sized businesses and the non-profit sector. 


In addition to being a designated HR professional (CPHR), Janice is also an ICF-certified coach (ACC). She became interested in the coaching profession when she saw first-hand how valuable coaching can be for leaders and individual contributors. 


In 2018, Janice completed her coaching certification with Erickson Coaching International, is certified in the EQi 2.0 assessment tool, and ORSC. Janice received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island and her HR Management Certificate from Mount Royal University.

Hilary Murray



Hilary is an accomplished senior human resource professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. This experience includes field, head office and international experience, including a two-year assignment in Houston, Texas as HR manager overseeing the integration of an acquisition and a one-year assignment in Mexico assisting with implementation of HR programs and practices for a pipeline company as it expanded into Mexico.


Hilary has delivered exceptional results with a focus on organizational effectiveness and change management. She provides a disciplined approach to embed human resource programs, policies, and procedures. She is highly regarded for her ability to grow client trust and respect through communication skills and customer focus.


She is comfortable interacting with all levels in an organization. Amanda Neale



A Chartered Professional in Human Resources, Amanda draws on extensive HR experience. With 20 years in a range of generalist and specialized HR roles, Amanda turned to consulting, focusing on performance management, compensation strategy, policy development, workplace investigations, workforce planning, and privacy compliance.


With a keen eye for detail, Amanda takes a methodical approach to organizing, interpreting and presenting data. Her experience partnering with business leaders allows Amanda to apply thorough research, standards and best practices to the larger business context.


Amanda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology (B.A. Hons) from the University of Cape Town, certificates in Human Resources Management and Conflict Resolution from the University of Calgary, CPHR designation and is certified with the Canadian Institute of Access and Privacy Professionals. 

Bruce Randall


Bruce’s unique combination of theoretical and practical knowledge, and work in the law, education and not-for profit sectors means he is uniquely well suited to advise and teach not-for-profit Boards aspects of governance and operations.


Most recently Bruce served as founding Executive Director of Calgary Region Immigrant Employment Council for 12 years before stepping away to focus on his consulting and personal interests.  His focus at the helm of CRIEC was: strategy governance, financial, programmatic, project, outcomes/impacts, research, advocacy, communication and operational oversight, budget oversight and direction and guidance for staff.


He now fills his time with hands-on governance, Board training, general advice and corporate secretarial support for Board of Directors and 2 primary Committees. He also serves as a sessional lecturer teaching Law for the Non-profit and Non-Profit Governance courses. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.), and Bachelor of Arts from McGill University.

Bonnie Tamura



Bonnie is a coach and consultant, deeply  committed to personal and professional development.  Using deep listening, presence, and insightful questioning she has coached hundreds of diverse clients to build awareness and navigate career exploration, career shift and job search. 


Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta as well as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation with the International Coach Federation. She  is certified in Harrison Assessment Tools and is a qualified MBTI practitioner. 


 As a lifelong learner, Bonnie continues her own professional development including the Body = Brain program,  a deep dive into the neuroscience of embodied awareness and learning.
